The EPA just informed
you that your facility will be inspected today Are you ready for an inspection? With our services, you will always be ready and in compliance! Our Services
EPA Compliance Reporting
Our site-specific process allows us to screen your entire chemical inventory against 11 different environmental laws that may possibly affect your facility. We have developed a reliable system for screening all your chemicals on-site against current thresholds and requirements at the local, state and federal levels. Many environmental laws are based on specific chemical thresholds. Facilities that use, store or manufacture products using chemicals that exceed these limits are responsible for reporting the presence of these chemicals to the proper agencies. Failure to provide accurate reports in a timely manner often results in devastating enforcement penalties. In the event of an inspection, facilities are required to provide documentation to validate which chemicals have been or are not required to be reported to the proper authorities. We provide defensible documentation and software tailored to each of our clients so that they will be prepared for inspections at all levels. Dermot Kerin, President
SARA Title III Tier II and Form R Reporting The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires companies to obtain the aggregate total weight for all EHS (Extremely Hazardous Substances) on site and make a determination if these totals are above or below the current thresholds set. (Some thresholds are as low as 0.1 gram.) Our software and documentation provides you with these determinations plus other valuable information.Air Permitting Many industries are challenged with the complex set of steps to obtain an air permit. Some important questions to ask are as follows:Are we required to submit an annual Emissions Inventory Questionnaire (EIQ)? Do we fall under the New Source Performance Standards (NSPS)? Do we fall under the Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) rule? Do we have any of the 200 Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPS) on site? Do we have Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) in our materials on site? Are we emitting any of the criteria pollutants or chemicals above their de-minimus levels? If your answer was YES to any of the above questions, we recommend that you speak with us about how our systematic approach to air permits can help you achieve full compliance with the current air-permit legislation. Stormwater Permitting The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Storm Water Regulation requires facilities to apply for a NPDES permit if on-site activities have the potential to pollute storm water discharges. Noncompliance could result in fines for each day a facility is in violation of this requirement.MATRIX™ Software The MATRIX™ document book and software are a result of two and a half years of engineering and programming expertise in order to reconcile the environmental laws below into one system. We continually update our software to screen your entire facility against the most current legislation. Your Defensible Documentation Book contains multiple spreadsheets and sub-reports that are designed to systematically identify all chemicals in each product on site at your facility. Each chemical is then screened against 11 current chemical lists (OSHA PSM; SARA Title III: 302, 304, 310, 311, 313 and PBT lists, Proposition 65 chemicals, EPA RMP, HAP, and RCRA codes; NFPA and HMIS codes; PEL/TLV levels; product container types and locations facility-wide).The MATRIX™ designates all specific chemicals and general chemical categories and calculates accumulative chemical weights against legislative thresholds throughout your facility using mass balance calculations. This ensures your total peace of mind and compliance. The following industrial sectors are some of the areas that usually have EPA reporting requirements:
